Little mountain run! Climbing cat! Poem.

Happy Monday y’all! Still enjoying spring like conditions in Grenoble and loving every minute of it. The days are definitely getting longer so I was able to get a mountain in after my last class.

Tried taking several action shots from ground level and I have to admit I look best in this one. Ha!

Ah well, after a frustrating several tries I had to give up and just carry on with the run. Today’s graph…

Here’s a great cat climbing picture.

Because the view is better from up there!

Feeling childish at heart and thought about Shel Silverstein and this famous poem…

Where the Sidewalk Ends by Shel Silverstein

There is a place where the sidewalk ends
And before the street begins,
And there the grass grows soft and white,
And there the sun burns crimson bright,
And there the moon-bird rests from his flight
To cool in the peppermint wind.

Let us leave this place where the smoke blows black
And the dark street winds and bends.
Past the pits where the asphalt flowers grow
We shall walk with a walk that is measured and slow,
And watch where the chalk-white arrows go
To the place where the sidewalk ends.

Yes we’ll walk with a walk that is measured and slow,
And we’ll go where the chalk-white arrows go,
For the children, they mark, and the children, they know
The place where the sidewalk ends.

Happy trails! Happy runs! Happy week to you all! 😊

  1. Aww, I like that poem!
Koko… ohmigosh that’s hilarious! Guess she wants to be part of the mountain climbing too! Views are always better “up there!”
Great run, great graph! You’re doing awesome with the selfies too! (BTW… spring-like weather? I’m jealous) 😀

      1. I’ve had a few cats do that over the years. Not sure if it’s affection or dominance… I think we’re just getting the edge of it here but knows. That’s all part of the fun I guess.
